Come out and support the FCFRD Hockey Team as it plays the Fairfax County Police Department Hockey team on Friday, March 25th at the Skatequest in Reston (1800 Michael Faraday Dr, Reston). Game time is 6 PM.
This is a benefit to raise awareness and funds for both RED and BLUE HELP (redhelp.org). Both organizations help support mental health and suicide prevention for first responders.
It is the mission of Red H.E.L.P. to reduce mental health stigma through education, advocate for benefits for those suffering from post-traumatic stress, acknowledge the service and sacrifice and support the families of firefighters we lost to suicide, assist firefighters in their search for healing, lead policy makers and legislators toward necessary change, and to bring awareness to suicide and mental health issues within public safety.
It is the mission of Blue H.E.L.P. to reduce mental health stigma through education, advocate for benefits for those suffering from post-traumatic stress, acknowledge the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers we lost to suicide, assist officers in their search for healing, and to bring awareness to suicide and mental health issues.
