February 1 – 1400 hours – Met with FC Bowers about some personnel items. Worked EOS for Brother Dave Sellers at EMS402B.
February 2 – Attended and chaired January’s (changed due to snow) Eboard Meeting. 1400 hours – Teleconference with Brothers Kuley, Kotecki, Allison and personnel from TRW to discuss the “Exercise Boxes.” Coordinated with John at Sundog the FirePAC job shirts.
February 3 – At Local Office. 1330 – Brother Slaymaker and I went by Sundog (John) to finalized the FirePAC job shirts and ordering. 1900 hours – Attended and chaired February’s General Membership Meeting.
February 4 – At Local Office. 1330 hours – went by FS430 to wish Brother Melone all the best and spoke/answered questions from the members. 1600 hours – Met with personnel from DPSC to address and discuss issues/concerns at DPSC.
February 6 – On behalf of the entire membership, attended the funeral viewing of Brother Al Runion – may you Rest in Peace Brother.
February 8 – 1230 hours – went by the Welfit Center to welcome IAFF Brothers and Sisters who attended the Peer Fitness Class. 1345 hours – Introduced Local 2068 to the 140th Recruit Class at the Massey Building. 1530 hours – met with personnel at FS424B – discussing the upcoming FY2017 County Budget. 1630 hours – Brother Slaymaker and I presented Brother Scott Smith a retirement plaque on behalf of the membership. February 10 – At Local Office.
February 11 – 0900 hours – attended the Length of Service Awards – Congrats to all of our Brothers and Sisters on your dedicated service to the community and the membership. 1500 hours - Brother Morrison, FC, FRD Administration, and I met to discuss the DD Program.
February 12 – 0800 hours – Brother CA Martin and I had a teleconference with Brother Luecke about the Local’s Communication Program (e.g. shift calendar added to web-site, apparel, etc.). 1500 hours – attended DPSC’s Recruit Graduation. 1600 hours – attended and participated at the Academy reference the 140 Recruit Class and their Families – Welcome 140th ! 1900 hours – attended and participated at Brother Jorge Arias’ Retirement Party at FS417. February 15 – Brother Bob Konczal and I attended the funeral services for Brian Ebersole, the brother of Brother Mark Ebersole (FS429C) in Brunswick, Maryland. Thoughts, prayers, and condolences to you Brother Mark and your family!
February 16 – Attended the BOS Meeting at the Government Center, CE Long released his “Proposed” FY2017 County Budget – a summary of the budget was provided to the membership. Several positive initiates, to include compensation, were in CE Long’s proposed FY2017 County Budget. Later that evening – I provided the membership a comprehensive summary of the budget.
February 17 – 0800 hours – at the Local Office with Brother Luecke taping a summary of the proposed FY2017 County Budget and a tutorial of the Service Connected Social Security Disability Off-Set. 1700 hours – had dinner with personnel from FS422B – update on county budget, questions, etc. Thank you for having me FS422B! 1900 hours – went by Fairfax ER to check on a member.
February 18 – 0700 hours – Brother Flanigan and I attended the COS promotional orientation at DPSC. 1000 hours – attended the Equity & Diversity Meeting at the Academy. Visited the personnel at FS402A about the proposed FY2017 County Budget. Thank you for having me!
February 19 – 1400 hours – visited FS402B about the proposed FY2017 County Budget. Thank you for having me!
February 20 – Visited with personnel at FS 436C, 404C, and 431C about the proposed FY2017 County Budget – several questions were addressed and answered – signed members up for FirePAC. Thank you for having me!
February 21 – Visited with personnel at FS431B. Very productive discussion. Thanks for having me!
February 22 – Attended and presented with Brother Kuley a retirement plaque on behalf of the membership to Brother Ed Monseur at FS432C. All the best to you and yours – enjoy retirement Ed! 1700 hours – had dinner with personnel at FS426C – excellent discussion on the proposed budget and some other ancillary items and signed members up for FirePAC. February 23 – 0800 hours - attended and chaired the February Eboard Meeting. 1100 hours – Brothers Flanigan, Kuley, Loach, and I presented to the 140 Recruit Class about joining the local – 46 out of 52 joined the local and 23 to FirePAC to date. Excellent start! 1700 hours – went by FS429A to meet with personnel to discuss the proposed FY2017 County Budget. Thanks for having me!
February 24 – 1000 hours Attended and participated at the monthly Uniformed Retirement System Board of Trustees Meeting. At the Local Office. 1500 hours – visited personnel at FS429C and FS442C about the proposed FY2017 County Budget and signed members up for FirePAC. Thanks for having me!
February 25 – 0900 hours – met with the FC, FRD Administration, Brother Brasfield, a member, and I about a personnel concern.
February 26 – 1600 hours – Brother Flanigan, Sister Robin Pierpoint, and I met with Director Steve Souder and staff at DPSC about personnel issues/concerns. 1830 hours – met with personnel at FS432B about the proposed FY2017 County Budget and signed members up for FirePAC. Thanks for having me!

February 28 – Visited personnel at FS426B, FS405B, FS422B, and FS437B – signed members up for FirePAC and about the proposed FY2017 County Budget. Thanks for having me!
February 29 – 0830 hours – visited personnel at FS405C and FS435C about the proposed FY2017 County Budget. 1500 hours – met with FC, his staff, and others at the Burkholder Building to discuss and review the Lt. Bid Process. 1830 hours – visited personnel at FS417C to discuss the proposed FY2017 County Budget – signed members up for FirePAC.
